Half hogs weigh about 100 pounds (hanging weight) and yield about 75 pounds of cut meat for your freezer. (Double those numbers for a rough estimate on a whole hog.) The hanging weight price is $5.00 per pound.

The pigs are harvested on the farm for a fee of $85.00 per animal ($42.50 per half hog) and transported to Heights meat market. Heights Meat charges $.99 per pound to cut and "wrap"  the meat,
